Welcome to Waikato Water Polo Club

Waikato Water Polo Club currently runs competitions in Hamilton @ Waterworld.

The Club runs an Open High School Competition, a Club Competition and a Junior High School Competition across the year. The club has a strong affiliation with NZ Water Polo and enters teams in most of the national age group competitions – from U12-U20’s and NZ National League Men’s and Woman’s competitions.

We also have a strong Intermediate and Flippa Ball competition aimed at introducing new players to the game for ALL age groups.

We welcome new members to all of our events.

WWP 2020 - Age Group trainings 3 Aug- 9 AugHi everybody,

You may heard that Waterworld is to reopen this week. Unfortunately the advice that Waterworld would reopen did not come before we had to make our bookings for this week, so we had already committed to Saint Peters for training this coming week.

Monday 7:00-9:00 Boys (U16/U18 Deep water, U14 Swim) - Girls all ages Swim

Tuesday 7:00-9:00 Girls all ages Deep water - Boys all ages Swim

Wednesday 7:00-9:00 Boys (U16/U18 Deep water, U14 Swim) - Girls all ages Swim

Thursday 7:00-9:00 Girls all ages Deep water - Boys all ages Swim

We are planning to move our age group training back to Waterworld starting 11 August, the days, combinations and times will change, as we are trying to fit everybody into the smaller pool and maximise training for Nationals in September/October (and December for U14's)

U16's (boys and girls) please keep 15th/16th August, Saturday afternoon and Sunday 12-6pm free. We are trying to put together some invited clubs to come and play games in some format, more details should be available in the next few days.

We have reopened bookings for Schools at Waterworld, so you may have some form of school training at Waterworld this week.

We are also planning to start some form of competitions in the coming weeks, this may well involve both Water World and Saint Peters. The ideas and details will be worked through this week, but it is possible that we will have fast fives on Wednesdays for at least some of Term 3 (Term 4 will have juniors (Y9/y10), intermediates and flippaball school competitions back in the pool).
