Waikato Waterpolo

Awesome work boys !! great start to the tournament for our U18s - 4 from 4 👊🏼Pool play is now complete in the u18 Girls Nationals. Atlantis Tridents are looking strong and remain unbeaten in pool A. In the top spot in the pool means they have a direct passage to the Semifinals. They will play the winner of North Harbour Black (third in PoolA) and Hibiscus Coast Gold (second in pool B).
North Harbour Maroon has finished top of the table in Pool B after a 4-4 draw with Hibiscus Coast Gold. As both teams ended on even points the teams scores were compared against the third placed team in Pool B. This was Atlantis Aqua and both teams had won 9-2. This required a comparison of the teams scores against Canterbury who had placed fourth in the section and North Harbour had won 20-5 compared to Hibiscus Coasts 17-7 win. This top spot gives North Harbour Maroon an immediate spot in the semifinals. Their semifinal match will be against the winner of Atlantis (third in pool B) and Marist (second in Pool A).

Pool play in the Boys u18 Nationals competition was complete yesterday. Marist A, North Harbour Maroon, Tauranga and Waikato were all clear winners of their pools. Finishing second in their respective sections were Waitakere, Mountfort, Canterbury and Hutt who each keep their chances of continuing to medal playoffs alive as they go through to the 2 playoff sections (top 2 from pool play sections).
