Entry to the tournament is $950+GST. If your entry is accepted, you will be invoiced immediately for the entry fee and payment of the invoice will confirm your entry. Refunds will only be granted if another team is available and agrees to take over your entry. We will operate a waiting list if we have more teams than spaces.

Please note: this is an invitational tournament, Waikato Water Polo reserves the right to choose which entries it accepts in order to ensure that we can run a well-balanced tournament for all stakeholders.

Please note: The event will run over 4 days and due to it being Waitangi weekend, the pool will operate limited opening times, therefore, to fit all the games we will be running to the following schedules:

Thursday 6 Feb 10:00am-6:00PM

Friday 7 Feb 3:00PM-6:00PM

Saturday 8 Feb 9:00AM-6:00PM

Sunday 9 Feb 10:00AM-4:00PM

Please make sure you are available to play inside of those times, we may be able to accommodate some teams travelling each day, but in the first instance teams should try to either stay in or around Hamilton or travel outside of those times. Once you know what your teams travel/accommodation arrangements are, please email us and let us know, this is important when we do the draws so that we can ensure you are able to get to the games on time (based on Hamilton traffic/travel times).

Note: These are all extra cost options, and must be booked well in advance (first come first served).

Waterworld has 2 large private rooms available for rent which are large and contain big screen TV’s, so can be used for dry land warm ups as well as post game review and analysis sessions.

Waterworld also have multiple swim lanes that can be booked by teams if they need warm up, warm down or just swim training times.

Please contact us if you would like to get pricing and availability for these options.

Hamilton has many motels on Ulster street, which are within short walking distance of the pools (2km’s). The closest Motel (Kingsgate) is right across the road, there are several others very close. Hamilton is very easy to get around and only really has traffic issues before and after work. The CBD with many restaurant/cafe choices and entertainments options is walking distance from the Motels on Ulster Street (CBD is to the South, Pools are to the North). If you have any questions or problems contact us as we might be able to help.

All teams will have up to 7 games over the 4 days. Theres no winner or prize-giving, just lots of competitive Water Polo for all teams. Games are 6 minute stop clock with 20/30 second shot clock. We see the tournament as a pre season fitness, training and team tuning event, there are 2 timeouts per team per game.
