Suzuki National League Div 1 and Div 2
In 2026, Waikato Water Polo club will have a Men's team compete in Division 1 for the first time, alongside a Division 2 Men's and Women's team.
The Suzuki National Water Polo Club League (Division 1) is New Zealand's premier domestic interclub competition that provides important competitive opportunities for national squad members as well as the next generation of New Zealand Water Polo talent. It is a round robin format, with team competing both home and away before placing off in a Final's weekend of competiton.
2026 Dates:
- Round Robin - 18th April - 28th June
- Finals Weekend - 3rd - 5th July
Waikato also has a Men's and Women's team competing in Division 2 of the Suzuki National Water Polo Club League. The Division 2 format was introduced in 2016 to encourage the development of a more comprehensive national competition.
In 2026, the women's and men's leagues will consist of three tournaments in which teams can acquire Championship points through individual tournament rankings. The team with the most Championship points will win the overall Division 2 Water Polo League.
