Suzuki DIV 2 Water Polo Competition
Waikato competes in Division 2 of the Suzuki Water Polo League. This Division 2 format of the National Water Polo League was introduced in 2016. The format was successful in encouraging the development of a more comprehensive national competition.
In 2024, the women's and men's leagues will consist of three tournaments in which teams can acquire Championship points through individual tournament rankings. The team with the most Championship points will win the overall Division 2 Water Polo League (D2WPL).
