U12's

Our under 12's programme runs from February to November every year.

To join our under 12 teams, your child must be 12 or under as of midnight 31 December the prior year - so for example, 11 at midnight on 31 December 2024 for 2025.

Training: 

Sundays at Waterworld, Hamilton. Held in the Dive Pool. 

NOTE: Training location can sometimes change. If so, we will update HEJA which is the communications app the club uses. Once registered with Waikato Water Polo, you will be given a code to join the HEJA app. Our other training locations (when advised) are Hamilton Boys High and St Peter's, Cambridge. 

Trainings are held in two groups to cater for beginners and our under 12's. In Term 1 only, we also allow our under 13's to train before their season starts.

If you are new to Water Polo and unsure of your ability, we welcome you to Session 1 to come and try out. Our instructors will then advise which session is best for you. 

Still unsure if you want to join the club? We allow 3x FREE sessions to come and try the sport out. Just turn up to our training day, Sunday morning and have a go!

U12 Squad (Annual Fee) $275 (includes the membership fee). Register HERE today. 

Competitions and Tournaments:

There are many opportunities for our under 12's to attend competitions throughout the year. Competitions that Waikato compete at are:

• Baywave Tournament - held at Baywave, Tauranga (Ususally April)
• Kings Birthday Tournament - held at Manurewa Pools and Leisure Centre, Auckland (Kings Birthday)
• Rowan Brown Tournament - held at Sir Owen Glenn National Aquatic Centre, Rosedale, Auckland (Often Matariki weekend)
• Olympic Hopefuls Tournament - held at Water World, Hamilton (Labour Weekend)
